Underdrive pulley

Has anyone used underdrive pulleys? I am going to be pulling my engine apart and was thinking it may be a good time to put one in if it was worth the cost. Is there any noticable performance increase?

If you have a JRSC, the only one you can use without LOSING boost is the Power Steering underdrive pulley !!!
With a Turbo set-up, you can use any combination you choose.

Hmmm, ok. I was considering taking the power steering out, so I see no point of getting an expensive pulley for something i may take out later.

Back when I was All Motor I was using the Unorthadox Cranshaft pulley. I kept it on during the JRSC install. The result, 2 psi. I put the stock one back on and my gauge read 7 psi.

Conclution: All Motor/Turbo=Great mod
J R/any belt driven charger=Huge loss in Boost

Yeah, I was considering the Unorthodox, but after going and looking at the site again I quickly changed my mind. 200 something dollars, it isn't worth it. For that amount I could, turbo my car, replace the entire exhaust, get some racing pistons or get some nice springs. Nope, the stock pulley stays.

Unorthodox does in fact make a special pulley just for JRSC users. It is based on the CRV crank pulley... and the alternator groove is BIGGER to increase boost about two psi. Their website has it listed in two versions: single alternator groove (race) and three groove (street).
